Midway Florist is celebrating a grand opening today until 6:30 p.m. at its new location at Midway Boulevard and Pioneer Way.
Owner Rob McGowan is inviting members of the community to come and look at the new store and its waterfront location while enjoying snacks and wine provided by Brian Hughes and Keith Kinsey of Terrace Wine Bar.
Attendees will receive door prizes and raffle will be held for additional prizes.
“I liked the way it turned out,” said McGowan of the new store. “It’s laid out well. The merchants have made me feel welcome and I get to look at that view. The view is spectacular.”
McGowan is also starting an “Above and Beyond” campaign that allows customers to nomiate someone in the community for acknowledgment of what they do for the community. Winners will be selected each month and awarded with fresh flowers.
