Corona is a two-stage disease, first, there is a risk of getting serious if you take steroids yourself.
Don’t treat corona as a common cold. There are two stages of this disease. The first phase starts from 6-7 days while the second phase starts from 6-7 days and lasts for 14 days. In the first stage i.e. in 5-7 days, the virus grows inside the body. This is called the virus phase. In the second stage, the body’s antibodies begin to function. This is called the immune phase. It has low viral load. In most people, the corona begins to heal as soon as the second stage arrives, but in some, the virus is more effective and their own antibodies begin to damage certain parts of the body, making the disease more severe. If you are careful, you do not have to go through the immune phase.
Antibodies cause damage in the second stage
In the second stage, due to the virus, the hyper-immune response is activated inside our body. In this, our body’s immune system begins to damage our own organs. This is the reason why such a problem occurs. At this stage, most patients begin to lose oxygen. Ventilator is required. The fear of death also increases. If the treatment is appropriate in the first stage, then the second stage is not likely to be severe.
Monitor more than 6-7 days
All cases of corona that develop mainly worsen after 6-7 days. Keep a close eye on it for the next one week. On days 7-8, get a chest CT scan and an inflammation marker test with medical advice. If the doctor says cutter, then get D-dimer or other tests done. Days of symptom onset. CT scans within the day do not give clear information about the disease. Avoid this situation.
Steroids can cause harm in the first stage
The benefit of giving steroids to the patient in the first stage may be reduced. The virus is phased out. If you give steroids, the virus will grow faster when the immune system is weakened. The disease is likely to get worse soon, so do not take steroids without medical advice.
Timely investigation and identification is required
From the day the body shows symptoms such as fever, aches, pains or diarrhea or if the report is positive, consider it as the first day. Take medications according to Corona’s guideline for the first five days. Don’t delay. Eat healthy, light and digestible foods. Drink plenty of water. Don’t worry at all for the first 5-6 days of rest.
Plasma therapy and remodvir are beneficial in the first stage only.
In the first stage, plasma therapy with antivirals, Remodvir or Fabiflu etc. is effective. This is a viral phase.
Check in 2-2 hours from the 6th day
Check the oxygen level every two hours from the sixth day. If the level is above T tons or more, don’t let anything disturb you. Rest at home for 15 days. Avoid running too fast. If the oxygen level is falling below 94 tons, tell the doctor. If the pulse oximeter is not used properly, then learn from someone.
Check even if there is no fever
Patients in whom symptoms have ended in the first stage should also measure oxygen levels in the second week. In some patients, there is a lack of oxygen on days 8-10. If oxygen levels are declining, tell your doctor immediately.
Happy hypoxia is causing problems
Patients in which the symptoms disappear in the first week and they start their daily routine, but the oxygen level in the test is 80-85 degrees. They take special care. This is called happy hypoxia. The disease does not heal. The condition of such patients may suddenly worsen.
