Chinese space rover Xurong took a selfie on Mars

New Delhi. Scientists around the world are working to unravel the mysteries of Mars and explore the possibilities of life. Meanwhile, last month, China made history by successfully landing a rover Jurong as part of its Mars mission. Now Chinese rover Jurong has taken a selfie on Mars. This selfie has revealed a lot about the surface of Mars.

The Chinese space agency has revealed the dusty atmosphere of Mars, a rocky surface, in a selfie taken by the rover. Images released by China’s National Space Administration (CNSA) show Jurong Rover and Lander waving a small Chinese national flag.

The CNSA said Jurong placed a camera about 33 feet away from the landing platform and then took a selfie. The Tianven-1 spacecraft carrying the rover landed on Mars last month after spending nearly three months orbiting Mars by the CNSA. China is the second country to land and operate a spacecraft on Mars after the United States.
