The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has released data on the deaths of doctors during the second wave. The IMA said 594 doctors had died during the period. This includes a maximum of 107 doctors from Delhi.

During the peak time of the second wave, the number of corona patients and the mortality from them continued to increase. During this time the patients had to face many problems related to bedding, oxygen and medicines for treatment. In these difficult times, doctors and nurses dedicated their lives to serving patients day and night. The epidemic also caught the corona doctors. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has released data on the deaths of doctors during the second wave. The IMA said 594 doctors had died during the period.

Maximum 107 doctors of Delhi
The Indian Medical Association said at least 594 doctors lost their lives in the second wave of corona infections. This includes a maximum of 107 doctors from the capital Delhi. State-wise figures from the IMA show that every second doctor who died in the second wave of Kovid-19 died in Delhi, Bihar or Uttar Pradesh.
So far 1300 doctors have died
In the three states of Delhi, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, about 45 per cent of the doctors who died in the second wave of corona virus are doctors. In total, about 1,300 doctors have died fighting COVID-19 since the epidemic began last year, the IMA said.
Less than 18 lakh active cases in the country
The last several days have seen a decline in cases of corona infection. According to the health ministry, 1,32,788 new cases of corona have been reported in India in the last 24 hours, while 3,207 covid patients have died. However, 2,31,456 coro patients recovered / discharged during this period. There are currently less than 18 lakh active cases of corona in the country.
