AU, named after the periodic table symbol for gold, is naturally a golden-colored hamster who lives with Brian Hughes, owner of the Terrace Wine Bar in Oak Harbor. AU likes to gnaw on the side of his cage for dental care and roll around the kitchen floor in a clear plastic hamster ball.
